Drawing from the layered energy of the global city, JAYKOE creates contemporary works that bring together architecture, movement, sound, imagery and found forms. His practice draws on the idea of sampling—reworking fragments of visual and cultural history to create new connections between places, people and ideas. From intricate urban compositions to sculptural works incorporating speakers and found materials, his art reflects cities as constantly evolving spaces where histories, cultures and identities overlap, collide and transform.
