The location

KELLART’s London gallery is located in Hackney Downs, East London, an area long recognised for its independent spirit, creative energy, and cultural relevance.

Set between Dalston, Clapton, and Stoke Newington, the neighbourhood is home to artists’ studios, designers, makers, and progressive businesses. It’s an area shaped by originality and experimentation rather than convention, making it a natural fit for KELLART and the emerging artists we champion.

The gallery itself is based within Hackney Downs Studios, a historic former print works that has evolved into a thriving community of independent businesses. Creativity sits alongside retail, wellness, and hospitality, with a lively public courtyard that includes cafés, bars, restaurants, and shops. The setting encourages visitors to spend time, explore, and return.
