Nick Watson

Bio

Nick Watson is an artist based in London. He studied a BA (Hons) Visual Arts in Northampton before completing an MA Printmaking at Camberwell College of Arts.

Working from his London studio, Nick has dedicated spaces for both painting and screenprinting, allowing him to explore and combine a diverse range of artistic processes.

His work has been exhibited in London and throughout the UK, as well as in New Harmony, Indiana (US). Nick's artworks are held in numerous private collections worldwide, reflecting the broad appeal of his distinctive visual style and approach to image-making.

Statement

My practice is informed by a fascination with Modern and Contemporary Art, alongside the visual language of Street and Urban art.

My work is characterised by the layering of portraits and figures with vibrant colours, pattern, spraypaint and brushstrokes, creating visually striking compositions that command attention. By blending traditional and contemporary techniques, I produces dynamic artworks that balance spontaneity with careful construction.
