My work as an artist and printmaker explores the dynamic relationship between nostalgia and contemporary digital disruption. Drawn to the aesthetic of retro imagery and typography from past eras, I infuse these familiar forms with the unexpected through the application of digital glitches and distortions, often resulting in a subtly dystopian yet visually arresting landscape. My screen-printed editions, which span collage, typography, illustration, and graphic design, are often characterised by bold statements, vibrant spot colours, and distinctive rainbow effects applied to retro fonts. Beyond traditional printmaking, I explore the unique process of screen printing onto oxidised copper, a technique that sets my sculptural work apart. Across these diverse approaches, a consistent thread emerges: a fascination with juxtaposing the old and the new, the pristine and the corrupted, ultimately aiming to create visually compelling pieces that invite viewers to reconsider familiar aesthetics through a contemporary lens, hoping to evoke a sense of surprise and recognition of the diverse possibilities within printmaking and beyond.
