About
In this painting, Venice unfolds as a place of light, silence, and dissolving form. Its familiar architecture remains recognisable yet gradually merges into a unified painterly atmosphere where reflections soften the boundary between the city and the water.
Rather than describing the city with documentary precision, the artist focuses on the experience of evening, when light transforms perception and architecture acquires an almost immaterial presence. Vertical brushstrokes create a continuous rhythm that connects sky, buildings, and water into a single visual flow.
The work invites the viewer to experience Venice not simply as a geographical location but as an inner landscape of memory, where silence becomes part of the language of painting and light carries the emotional weight of the composition.
